The implementation of movement control or lockdown measures has severely limited people's ability to travel, thereby affecting students who desire to pursue postgraduate studies abroad. This study aimed to assess students' awareness of the COVID-19 post pandemic and their motivation to pursue postgraduate studies in Malaysia post-COVID. The study also examined the significant relationship between the endemic situation and students' motivation to study in Malaysia after the pandemic. Simple random sampling was employed as a quantitative research method for data collection. The study findings reveal that 66% of students were aware and sufficiently informed about COVID-19, and 86.2% expressed a high motivation to pursue postgraduate studies in Malaysia during post COVID. The analysis further revealed a positive correlation (r = 0.733, p = 0.000, n = 58) between students' awareness of the COVID 19 virus and their motivation to pursue postgraduate studies in Malaysia. The study provides valuable insights for educational institutions and the tourism industry regarding students' motivation to study abroad and their awareness of COVID-19. The findings can contribute to a better understanding of the impact of the pandemic on the tourism industry, education institutions, and academia.
