Summary: | Powered Exoskeletons are wearable robots that are very helpful tools to assist therapist in the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered from neurological conditions, in particular stroke and spinal cord injury. This report presents the study on design of powered exoskeleton to assist people with lower extremities’ deficiency to improve in their mobility for gait rehabilitation purposes. The design of this exoskeleton is focuses on few aspects which are length, weight and motor specification. It is design to have one Degree of Freedom (DOF) that is built on a fuzzy controller with an adaptive EMG-based lower limb exoskeleton. The paper strives to propose a wearable general-user powered Exoskeleton which could be used for improving mobility in order to afford normal life for those who need it. |
