This document describes the approach used in development of a novel terminated insulated antenna in a conducting medium. The main purpose of this project is to develop a new design of antenna that could function more efficient compared to HED. The developed antenna will act as a source that propagates EM wave for hydrocarbon detection purposes. The project includes research and study on the conceptual knowledge of EM itself.
