An Energy Efficient Design Incorporating Green Building Index Measuring Tools for Industries

Power demand increases every year while power generation does not have much change. As time goes by, there is a risk of experiencing power shortage. Therefore, by using energy efficient equipment and making use of renewable resources would help to reduce the overall power consumption. An energy effi...

Electronics Nuclear engineering Power demand increases every year while power generation does not have much change. As time goes by, there is a risk of experiencing power shortage. Therefore, by using energy efficient equipment and making use of renewable resources would help to reduce the overall power consumption. An energy efficient design implementing Green Building Index (GBI) measuring tools would allow user to save up to 30% of total power used. This project discusses the efficiency of lightings as well as mechanical loads such as chillers, smoke spill fans, and many more. DIALUX software is used to simulate the lightings design while research on mechanical equipment used is done on catalogue and the efficiency is compared and tabulated in a table.
