This project aims to develop ionic liquids monomer as it then synthesized to become polymer ionic liquids incorporating activated carbon. Two types of polymer Ionic liquids were synthesized, which are Poly-(1-Vinyl-3-Ethylimidazolium Bromide), Poly-[Veim][Br] and Poly-(1-Vinyl-3-ethylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide), Poly-[Veim][TF2N].
