Description
Summary:Over the decades, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods have been used to boost the declining oil production with conventional methods. EOR consists of Thermal Recovery, Chemical Flooding, Gas injection, and the new technology, Microbial Injection. All of these methods have proven effective in recovering 25% to 65% more oil in place with thermal recovery as the most dominant (Taber et al., 1997). However it is believed that the current EOR screening is not sufficient in providing the best and suitable EOR application. Thns, this study was conducted for adequate and effectual EOR SCREENING AND PRODUCTION OPTIMIZATION IN SANDSTONE RESERVOm. The screening that was used for this study was the conventional technical screening that is according to the SPE criteria, as well as a software named EORsc which was developed for this study that has screening purposes that can evaluate the suitable application of EOR with given data in a short time. The outcome of this study was successful in determining EOR methods for sandstone reservoir candidate using the screening methods above.
