To complicate things further, each PMP may have its own proprietary file system, format and technology. Problem faced by forensic analyst is that forensic software could not access PMP with proprietary protocol and found a dead end. The aim of this project is to develop an application that can update or change media transfer protocol in a PMP to mass storage class to give access to forensic software without tempering any data or metadata from the devices. There are five phases in developing this application: Planning, Analysis, Design and Development, Testing and Further enhancement, and Delivering application phase. Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) player now is successfully converted to Mass Storage Class player, but it has to be done manually, which may consume time. This project proposes an application that can automate those steps to tackle the time advantage.
