Through Gini Index Approach environmental factor (i.e. , , the green index for the respective energy consumption, emission and noise) formulated. can be In order to capture the subjective judgment of the transportation expert in electric bus operational planning, Analytic Hierarchy Process is adopted (with the aid of a survey) to determine the wei ghtage of each green index. And, several improvement strategies are proposed to enhance the performance of electric bus operations in respect of environmental Green Performance Index (GPI). In order to evaluate the applicability of the proposed study, an i llustrative case study in Putrajaya, Malaysia was conducted. From the results obtained, it could be seen that the improvement strategy with load factor increment shows the greenest performance. Besides, the green performance of electric bus is greatly affe cted by a variety of elements, including bus capacity, bus frequency, and the speed and charging duration of electric bus. Overall, the findings reveal that the resulted GPI can be used as a beneficial decision tool in electric bus planning and operation.
