| Summary: | With the position of Arabic language as the official language of Islam, the Malaysian Government and educational institutions have been giving serious attention to its development in Malaysia. This paper aims to reveal the influence of Arabic language, its position amongst the Malay community, besides explaining the approaches towards the smooth development of the language in Malaysia. The study is a qualitative study using documentary analysis. The study found that the Arabic language has grown extensively in Malaysia due to the government's seriousness and efforts in launching several effective programs and sound management through various learning institutions. |
