Investigation of evolutionary multi-objective algorithms in solving view selection problem / Seyed Hamid Talebian
Published 2013“…One of the ways for resolving this problem is by using pre-computed results of queries. In this approach, results of possible queries are computed in advance and whenever a user submits a query, instead of referring to the main table with enormous numbers of records, a proper pre-computed result is fetched and used for answering the query. …”

User interestingness for pre-fetching in mobile environment
Published 2011“…Due to this complication, new method is introduced where it requires data mining technique to improve the pre-fetching process. Previously, the pre-fetched data item is filtered using an data driven measurement for data interestingness and the data generated are based on the structure of a query pattern and quantified using statistical methods. …”

K Nearest Neighbor Joins And Mapreduce Process Enforcement For The Cluster Of Data Sets In Bigdata
Published 2018“…K Nearest Neighbor Joins (KNN join) are regarded as highly primitive and expensive operations in the data mining. The efficient use of KNN join has proven good results in finding the objects from two data sets prevailed in the huge databases. This has been achieved with the combination of K-Nearest Neighbor query and join operation to find the distinct objects from different data sets.MapReduce is a newly introduced program with the combination of Map Procedure method and Reduce Method widely used in BigData.MapReduce is enriched with parallel distributed algorithm to find the results on a cluster of data sets in BigData. In this paper, the combination of KNN join and MapReduce methods are utilized on the cluster of data sets in BigData for knowledge discovery.Exploring the pinpoint data from huge data sets stored in Big Data demands the distributed large scale data processing. The present research paper is focusing on generic steps for KNN joins exploration operations on MapReduce. The operations of KNN Join are targeted to perform the data partitioning and data pre-processing and necessary calculations.By utilizing the combination of KNN joins with MapReduce methods on BigData data sets will demonstrate a solution for complex computational analysis. …”

Adaptive model for semantic question answering disambiguation over linked data
Published 2018“…Most existing researches modify the question, manually; select only certain patterns of NL questions or select only simple questions from the dataset. Moreover, certain processes are semi-automated as some SQAs rely heavily on pre-determined lexicon knowledge for word disambiguation or manually annotate mapping for the SPARQL query constructions. …”

A fractional number based labeling scheme for dynamic XML updating
Published 2011“…Recently, XML query processing based on labeling schemes has been proposed.Based on labeling schemes, the structural relationship between XML nodes can be determined quickly without the need of accessing the XML document. However, labeling schemes have to re label the pre-existing nodes or re-calculate the label values when a new node is inserted into the XML document during the update process. In this paper, we propose a novel labeling scheme based on fractional numbers. The key feature of fractional numbers is that infinite number of fractional numbers can be inserted between any two unequal fractional numbers. Therefore, the problem of re-labeling the pre-existing nodes during the XML updating can be solved if the XML nodes are label by the fractional numbers.…”
