description The rapid growth of online shopping during the Covid-19 pandemic has contributed to the progress of a digital economy in Malaysia, mainly driven by online purchases through e-commerce platforms. The growth of e-commerce has not only brought positive effects to the economy but has caused a shortfall in the service level of the logistics service providers (LSPs). Therefore, this research has focused on exploring the logistics capability and the logistics design among logistics service providers in Malaysia to fulfill the needs of the digital economy. This research has collected 34 feedbacks from the LSPs out of 73 LSPs, which are currently involved in providing logistics services to the e-commerce platform. Based on an extensive literature review, a model of the logistics digital service was developed and proposed to examine its application in the context of Malaysia. The findings revealed that all constructs proposed in the model (logistics capability-information technology, innovation capability, service provider capability) and (logistics design-automation, flexibility, integration logistics, logistics distribution network) have a significant relationship with the readiness of LSPs to become digital logistics services providers.
