The nurses working in the health sector come across stress and workload in their respective organizations. The respondents of the study consisted of 417 nurses working in the public sector hospitals of Pakistan. A survey was carried out, for which a questionnaire was administered to the respondents. Analysis of the quantitative data of the study involved both the statistical package of social science (SPSS) version 25 and Smart-PLS version 3.0. The empirical results show that psychological capital and goal setting are significantly related to job performance. Results of the current research will help policy makers and managers raising the performance of nurses working in the Pakistan public healthcare sector.
