description The present invention relates to a method for preparing encapsulated Trichoderma harzianum. The method comprises of dissolving montmorillonite clay to obtain a solution; adding sodium alginate to the solution to obtain a mixture; adding Trichoderma harzianum to the mixture; homogenizing the mixture; adding glycerol to the mixture; and dropping the mixture into calcium chloride solution to obtain a bead of encapsulated Trichoderma harzianum. The encapsulated Trichoderma harzianum is usable in agricultural application as biocontrol agent or plant growth regulator. The encapsulated Trichoderma harzianum of the present invention has enhanced efficacy and prolong shelf life.
