This study investigates the intricate relationship between macroeconomic indices and the unemployment rate in Malaysia over a comprehensive 31-year period, from 1991 to 2021. It is worthwhile to explore and study the impact on the process of economic growth. The study investigates three main independent variables which are GDP as a measure of economic growth, population growth, and foreign direct investment (FDI), while considering the unemployment rate as the dependent variable. The research aims to uncover the complex linkages and relationships that exist between these variables by employing correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The study relies on meticulously gathered secondary data obtained within the specified period. The projected outcomes would enhance comprehension of the factors that impact Malaysia's job market and provide significant insights for policymakers and economists.
