The load profile was collected through the smart meter installed in the residential area which has the capability of recording household electricity consumption at 30-minutes intervals or 48-time intervals in a day. A randomize 40-customer within �40% range based on the actual residential load profile were generated to determine the effect of the segmentation using the proposed method. A two periods segmentation using Jenks Natural Breaks was performed based on the randomization of the 40-customer load profiles. Time-of-Use periods are proposed for the residential customers in Peninsular Malaysia via the load profile collected. The results indicate that the time-of-use Peak period is between 7.00am to 7.00pm while the Off-Peak period is between 12.00am to 7.00am and 7.00pm-12.00pm. � 2018 IEEE.
