We focus our work on designing a low cost dataglove using open source hardware and software. We run algorithms on the micro controller to interpret basic gestures and phrases. The interpretation results are sent wirelessly to a bluetooth enabled smartphone to be displayed on screen. We benchmark the interpretation accuracy on three different users. Our results show that most basic sign gestures can be interpreted rather accurately using only simple algorithms. 2018 IEEE.
