Summary:Sarawak is determined to achieve its agenda to be a developed state by 2030, as prescribed in the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030). PCDS 2030 describes the strategies to expedite Sarawak's development into a technologically advanced economy, supported by the digital economy, green economy, and circular economy (EPU, 2023). Sarawak is the largest gas producer in Malaysia where 90% of all Petroliam Nasional Bhd's (Petronas) liquefied natural gas (LNG) are produced from the state. It is reported that Sarawak has abundance of at least 800 million barrels of oil reserves (RECODA, 2023).
