Summary:This research was undertaken to investigate the perception of trainees at Pusat Serenti Kuching towards detoxification, regimentation, counselling, religion, moral and civic education and vocational programmes. The study also aims to identify either the phase criteria, types of drugs, the way of detection of the cases and the objectives of rehabilitation programmes were associated with the trainee's perception. A total of 73 trainees from every phase were selected using random sampling. Questionnaires were used as research instruments. Data descriptive was analysed using frequency methods. The research findings showed that the trainees have positive perception towards rehabilitation programmes. The research also found out that the way of detectioning the cases, the phase criteria and the types of drugs used were not significantly associated with trainees 'perception. The results also showed that the peer groups, enjoyment factor and desire to experiment the sensation were the dominant factors which influence to trainees' addiction. Otherwise, this factors were found not significantly related to trainees' perception towards the rehabilitation programmes.
