Summary:This research project is a collaboration between Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Sarawak Culture Research Institute Society and Association of the Boards of Management of Aided Chinese Primary Schools in Kuching, Samarahan and Serian Divisions. The study focuses on the coping strategies of non-Chinese students and families in Chinese primary schools in Sarawak. This study will contribute to the understanding of problems, issues, challenges and also methods of coping by non-Chinese students, their parents, teachers and the schools. The study will also help to foster and enhance social harmony between Chinese and other communities in Sarawak through the provision of quality education to our future generation.
