Description
Summary:A Mobile Augmented Reality (AR) application that uses interactive alphabet tracing feature for children with dyslexia to improving writing. This is due to individuals with dyslexia not only face problems in reading and spelling but also face problems in writing. Traditional way of practicing alphabets can be boring as paper-based intervention lack interactivity. Therefore, the study proposes AlphaDraw, an Android mobile application that uses AR technology, is to make the writing of alphabets interactive, easy and interesting to support the differently able kids. The main components of the application are 3D alphabet models, interactive tracing feature in AR context. The application was tested and evaluated with the help of Dyslexia Association Sarawak using System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. This study shows that the application can help in improving writing among children with dyslexia.
