Description
Summary:In these recent years of modernization, encourage their citizens to learn English as it is a global language that is demanded by all sectors namely education, tourism, employment and others. In Malaysia, it is a second language that is widely used nowadays. English language proficiency is important for Malaysians to be highly competent, especially on the global stage. English is a required core subject in Malaysian education and is tested in all public exams. For a minimum of two years in kindergarten, Malaysian pupils receive formal instruction in English. After that, students continue studying English as a second language in elementary, middle, and high school, and then at the university level. The focal highlight for the Malaysian students is to communicate competently in English language, as set decisively in the Malaysian Education Blueprint 2013-2025 (Shah et al, 2017).
