| Summary: | Recent rapid advances in information and communication technologies (ICT) have provided an innovative and effective way in managing students' admission system to institute of higher learning. Institute of Graduate Studies, UiTM has also embarked on using ICT in their operational activities. eKPS version 1.0 was developed in 2009 to reduce time consuming process in handling printed admission form and processed manually. The system went through continuous quality improvement cycles and the current eKPS version 5.0 is a complete online system that manages from candidates' admission until selection stage. The system allows the faculty to print the admission form and shortlisted the candidates. In addition, the system also provides template for interview notification for shortlisted candidates. Finally, the faculty will make decision and select the qualified candidates based on their admission criteria. Prior to registration day, successful candidates are able to view and print offer letter which is available online. eKPS has effectively integrates administrative procedures which minimize total processing time requires. Furthermore, the usage of eKPS has also maximize the accuracy and productivity in processing postgraduate admission. |
