Summary:I like making photographs because I can express my thoughts, what I feel, and run my imagination wild. I photograph nature because it contributes to everything around the main subject in my art work because of its colour, shape, texture that nature has. My fish series developed from an idea to illustrate fish in a contemporary style that prompt the viewer to stop and wonder. I photograph what I see around me. I photograph fish in idealized settings and dramatic marine scene with fish. What I capture through the lens reminds me of the fish I seek in their habitats. As I traced the designs, I marvelled at how the patterns, texture and each colour twisted around each other in harmony. I captured the joy I felt at that moment. These photographs depict fish in their natural habitat as symbolic creatures. Fish represents the unconscious of higher-self and motives for doing something. It is also a metaphor for awareness and the intelligence and thought process. Since water brings life, all the creatures living beneath its surface will symbolise fertility. It's a popular, beautiful and diverse symbol, known for many centuries in different cultures. This photography artwork is to inspire relaxation or tranquillity.
