Summary:Life satisfaction is an idea for researchers to measure people happiness levels using subjective standards. This view has appeal as it gives responsibility for happiness to the individual, and perhaps it is the individual who knows best whether peoples are happy or not. Life satisfaction seems distinctively important because it should track people's values. In addition, by what level do researchers measure life satisfaction, it is by nature different for everyone. Life satisfaction theories of happiness have some intuitive plausibility, but it is difficult to make sense of the value people put on happiness. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationships among poverty and life satisfaction. People who are poor, live in rural areas and with lower life satisfaction are the main target. The researchers will conduct the study among residence in Padang Terap, Kedah. The respondent will be measure based on their education, employment opportunities and standard of living towards their life satisfaction.
