This particular project will solve this issue by designing a DBMS for inventory and preventive maintenance system of industrial parts and components by integration of Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications software. VBA is a program that built into most of Microsoft Office applications and it utilized the system applied in Visual Basic programming language. All data and information involve will be arranged and managed using Microsoft Excel and VBA act as tool to create Graphical User Interface application for the database. Resulting from that, an interesting GUI window is produced and from that window, user can search any part or component using specific id, and program will display all required information together with photo and preventive maintenance schedule of the particular part or component. It is believe that within this new form of DBMS, common problems of using files and documentations to store information will be totally removed. |
