There are two article that been summarized and the first article which is Article 1 is the article of “Audiovisual Materials in UK Public Libraries: Economic Sense” by Anne Morris and Catherine Ayre been published in 2005. The article purpose is to examine the provision of audiovisual materials in UK public libraries and their economic value. A questionnaire survey had been conduct to investigate current audiovisual material, expected future provision, and the amounts spent on and generated by audiovisual collections. Meanwhile article 2, “Audiovisual Production, Restoration-Archiving and Content Management Methods to Preserve Local Tradition and Folkloric Heritage” by Charalampos A. Dimoulas, George M. Kalliris, Elena G. Chatzara, Nikolaos K. Tsipas and George V. Papanikolao been published in 2012 focuses on the implementation of audiovisual production technologies for preservation and demonstration of local tradition and Cultural Heritage (CH). The production chain involves content restoration, description and management of archived material, direction of documentary biographies, and demonstration of folk customs and filming of chore-theatrical acts, aiming at creating historical, informative and educational video entities. |
