Usury is viewed as exploitative, making the rich richer while the poor are oppressed. Usury is proven by the Qur’an, the Sunnah of the Prophet, and the consensus of scholars. Man’s greed and insatiable desire make it difficult to enter into halal transactions, some Muslims, despite their knowledge of the rulings of Islam, practice transactions such as usury, which it contributes to a ridiculous situation (Rashid, 2023). I agree with the author's opinion by stating the prohibition of usury in Islamic economic activities, and showing its nature, exploitation and its harmful effects on society. It requires a perspective that views the global economy through the lens of Islam and distinguishes. Between what is permissible and what is prohibited. It is hoped that future reviews of the paper will delve deeper into different aspects of usury, providing a better understanding, comprehensive on the subject. |
