In this article summary, it has been reviewed from two articles which is the first article is about Digital preservation of audio, video and film while second article is about The public-private partnership case study in digitization of audiovisual heritage” by Bogdan Trifunovic. Digitization is the transformation of analog materials to a digital format that will ensure the long-term access of audio visual materials over time. The discussion includes the way to reduce cost of digitization while increase or still maintaining the quality of the audio visual records and archives. There have many challenges of digitization of archives related to the local heritage. Thus, solution for the challenges have been develop in order to preserve information on obsolete media and their preservation. It is an effort of preserving one important part of cultural legacy in this century which is in risk of being gone due to the human inattention or technology advancement. |
