Description
Summary:Scholars have acknowledged the influence of university support on students’ entrepreneurial intention and behavior. However, the extended literature showed the relationship between university support and social entrepreneurship intention (SEI) to be inconsistent. This article is quantitative in nature. To further the understanding of this issue, this paper attempts to examine how university support influences SEI among 318 university students in Indonesia. Through a structural equation modelling analysis, the authors confirmed that university support directly and indirectly related to attitudinal constructs and intention. This paper solely used the quantitative approach in which it limits the ability to examine the thoughts and feelings of research participants as well as the meaning that students ascribe to their experiences. The findings of this study benefit various stakeholders in education sectors, the SME industry, and the students themselves. It is also contributing to shed light on the literature by formulating a comprehensive model of SEI for Indonesia.
