However, Islam prohibits all transactions containing gharar (uncertainty) elements and maysir (gambling). The need to buy property, health or education makes the Muslim community in Malaysia, whether government or private employees, directly engage in the insurance or takaful industry. Since educators are the largest group of government employees, they are certainly one of the main groups involved in insurance contributions or takaful. Therefore, this study is to look at the factors that encourage educators at Tanah Merah Secondary School.
