Description
Summary:The 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is an international health emergency with the highest number of infected cases in history. The implementation of social and physical distancing is expected to be able to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, but there is still a lot of invalid information circulating that makes people experience psychological impacts and social stigma. The purpose of this community service is to provide training and assistance to the community in responding to the psychological and social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Community service is carried out directly, participant knowledge data is taken using a knowledge questionnaire to evaluate knowledge before and after the implementation of service. Knowledge analysis data using descriptive statistics with SPSS.Community service is carried out in three stages, namely counseling in the form of seminars, training, and mentoring. The participants from the Community Service are 55 people from KPA Tulungagung who were given training for 2 months while continuing to carry out evaluations every week through coordinating zoom meetings. A series of community service activities went well and produced a positive impact for the participants. The results of the pre and posttest assessments showed an increase in the results before being given counseling and after being given materials about COVID-19. The results of the pretest showed that the highest score was 60 and no participant got a perfect score, while the posttest results were 32 participants got a score of 80 and 16 participants got a perfect score, this shows that after being given counseling the results are better. Likewise, the attitude shown by the community also experienced an increase in compliance with health protocols, knowledge, decreased anxiety and fear and control of social stigma. So it can be concluded that the attitudes and actions of the community show a better change after community service is carried out, so that sustainability is needed so that the activities continue well.
