| Summary: | The International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) is globally recognized for its commitment to spreading the spirit of the Islamization of Knowledge (IOK). It implements various Islamization programmes under leading IOK scholars. This study aims to present the IOK experience at IIUM and broaden understanding of the concept of Islamization in general. Works pertaining to IOK and achievements at IIUM are dis- cussed, with a focus on IOK strategy and its impact on IIUM’s mission and vision. The result shows the notable successes IIUM has achieved in implementation of IOK in the 35 years since it was established. IOK has not just contributed to the overall constitution of IIUM but instilled an in-depth understanding of the Islamic spirit in education. |
