Description
Summary:This study was conducted to develop decision making tools for determine the best decomposition technology. In order to find the best decomposition technology for food waste management, there are multi-alternative is suggested and the relevant criteria to guide the selection of technology are listed. There are four main significant criteria is proposed which is environmental, economic, social and technical aspect. Each criteria is consists of several sub-criteria to strengthen the selection. Therefore Hierarchal Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Idea Solution (HFTOPSIS) model are proposed in this study for assessing the alternatives according to multi criterion. The evaluation are more realistic in linguistic assessment for expert judgement instead of numerical value. The linguistic variable require to convert into triangular fuzzy number to measure the weight and rank the alternative. The alternative (A) with the shortest distance from positive ideal solution (tT) and the furthest distance from negative ideal solution (d) will have highest score (CQ) and will be selected as the best decomposition technology. EM Anaerobic Composting illustrated as 1st rank in HFTOPSIS evaluation. In the final stage of study, the results require validation to measure the sensitivity for determine the stability of outcome. Three out of four validation test shows the HFTOPSIS is quite effective and efficient in the measurement to determine the best decomposition technology.
